Music Video Production

Film Stock vs. Digital Video?

Film is transferred to telecine and our team grade it to get the desired colors/look through a digital format for non-linear editing. Due to the cost of the medium, the use of film and the processing is considerably more expensive than using DV tapes. On the other hand, film could give you unique and different texture and quality than DV which is more desirable for serious projects.

Storyboard And Schedule Of The Production

In order to write a storyboard and a production cost sheet, we need to consider four important points:

  1. What lighting and mood do you want to portray?

  2. What kind of film texture do you want?

  3. Are special effects required?

  4. Do you need additional cast (Model, Actor, Dancers)?

Following our meeting, we will present you with a detailed storyboard, describing scenes and camera placement/angles.

We will make up a production cost sheet fitting your budget including:

bulletTransport, studio rental, permits, insurance, security, etc.
bulletScenery and equipment (lights, cameras, lenses, generator, playback
bulletequipment, cranes etc.)
bulletSpecial effects required, both in-camera and post-production
bulletCrew and cast
bulletEditing

Once the storyboard is approved, a contract will be signed and production scheduling agreed. Filming and editing.

An interim preview session will be organized to discuss any particular changes before final format delivery as specified in the contract (e.g. DVD, Mini-DV, Beta SP, Digital Beta).
